What dog breed best suits me?

Im 13 and im thinking of getting a dog. I live in a house with good sized yard were i am thinking to put the dog in. I would prefer if the dog doesn't bark alot, only in the presence of intruders. A playfull quick learner dog that will be friendly but protects and gaurds the owner, including the owner's property (house), at the same time.
